In the summer of 2025, CRYJ will extend the impact of its established and award-winning restorative justice work into the Missoula community

Welcome New Missoula staff - Kaya Juda-Nelson

Kaya Juda-Nelson was hired as a Site Director for CRYJ’s Missoula programming in early 2025. She comes to CRYJ with a deep relationship to the Missoula community and a breadth of experience working with youth programs in Missoula’s nonprofit ecosystem. While CRYJ’s leadership has been working closely with Missoula-based partners for quite some time, Kaya is the first Missoula-based staff member. CRYJ is also currently hiring additional staff for our Missoula site!

History & “Why Missoula?”

We’ve been hearing it for a long time: “CRYJ should be everywhere.” Our funders and collaborators have long-encouraged CRYJ to extend its services into additional Montana communities, leveraging our decades of success to impact a greater population of Montana. Well, here we are! Collaboration with Missoula stakeholders identified a unique need, as well as an ecosystem of adjacent services that make Missoula the perfect place to pilot a programmatic expansion!

Building a CRYJ community in Missoula

This summer, CRYJ is focused on building a network and community in Missoula. Consider being in touch to learn more about CRYJ’s expansion into Missoula. In addition to participating in the 2025 Missoula Gives campaign (if you are reding this, you might have missed it, but that’s ok!), we’ll be holding an open house when our new office is established, and are always excited to make new connections. Don’t hesitate to be in touch!

Want to support CRYJ’s work in Missoula right now? While you might have missed CRYJ during the Missoula Gives campaign on May 1st and 2nd, a gift to support CRYJ’s Missoula expansion can be made at any time.
